At present the map coverage and extent for the GeoMap products is only the mainland of SINGAPORE. Also included would be the boundary level coverage of the various off-shore islands belonging to S’pore and partial boundary level coverage of Johore Bahru (Malaysia).
* Boundary level coverage(s) do not include detailed information and attributes. |
| DATA FORMAT |
| ShapeFile (.shp) |
The GeoMap product(s) have a layered structure and with a delivery format in shapefile. This format is used to store non-topological geometry and attribute information for the spatial features in the data set. (e.g. Arcview® 3.1, Shapefile (.shp)). The attribute information is stored in a dBASE® format file (.dbf).

| COORDINATE SYSTEM |
| WGS 84 |
All the GeoMap products are only available in the World Geodetic System - 1984 (WGS 84) coordinate system, which is based on an earth-fixed global reference frame. The WGS84 coordinate system uses the geodetic coordinates (latitude, longitude).
* Geodetic datums define the size, shape of the earth and the origin and orientation of the coordinate systems used to map the earth. |

The GeoMap product(s) are delivered as a single seamless map database product on CDROM. |
| DATA RELEASES & UPDATE MAINTENANCE |
| Every 12 months |
New and updated database releases are usually planned for within the 4th quarter of each year. The update and maintenance cycle is on a 12mth basis. Users would be required to sign up for a 3 year update/maintenance package (dependent on the type of license agreement).
